Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS)

Shepherd of the Lakes is proud to be a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (Synod = "walking together"). WELS, characterized as theologically conservative, is the third largest Lutheran church body in America. With national offices today at N16W23377 Stone Ridge Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188-1108, WELS began in 1850 when three German pastors met in Milwaukee.
